Healthcare Recovery Depends on the Individual

Organizational Culture and Operational Success

Organizations, including even those which specialize in healing, are rarely so adept at recognizing and resolving their own crises as they are others'. Yes, a global pandemic did no favors to operational stability, let alone the team ethos, but the discontent and volatility currently convulsing the workplace were not bred by one crisis alone, and they cannot be dated to January 2020.

Healthcare professionals have been challenged to an unprecedented extent these past two years, but surviving a crisis is not the same as understanding a crisis, and it does not mean you are prepared for the next one.

Recovery of the order healthcare now requires is not achieved without a willingness to look at those issues once considered too "sensitive" or serious to handle. At this time, there is no uncomfortable, needling issue more relevant to organizational function, security, and potential than culture.
